Jets’ Fitzpatrick ‘in talks’ with Bills
The Jets’ first-round draft pick is reportedly “in talks” with the Buffalo Bills, per NFL Media’s Albert Breer.
Fitzpatrick is reportedly still undecided about whether to re-sign with the Jets.
This is the second time in less than two months that the Jets have parted ways with Fitzpatrick.
First, he decided to rehire his father in the offseason.
The Jets also parted ways in April, following a contract dispute between quarterback Geno Smith and receiver Jeremy Kerley.
Fitzpatrick said that he was leaving Jets’ camp because of the contract dispute.
That dispute was settled a month later, with the two sides agreeing to a restructured contract.
In that deal, Fitzpatrick received $2.9 million guaranteed.
